Alan Chovel founded Shovel Construction in 2008, playfully naming the company after his last name, “Chovel.” As the leader behind business development and project management, Alan oversees client relationships, strategic growth, financial management, and project execution for this premier South Florida shell contractor.
With over 20 years of experience, he has successfully managed residential and commercial projects ranging from $50,000 to over $100 million, including aviation, hospitality, healthcare, luxury residential, and large-scale infrastructure work. His hands-on leadership ensures projects are delivered with precision, efficiency, and quality.
Holding a Bachelor of Science from the University of Florida and a Master’s degree in Construction Management from Florida International University, Alan combines strong technical knowledge with practical field expertise. Fluent in English and Spanish, he is committed to clear communication, strong partnerships, and delivering exceptional value to every client.
